The Northern Guilford High School PTSA is proud to sponsor our Second Annual Nighthawks Race Against Hunger on November 6, 2021. We welcome runners and walkers of all ages! Given the difficulties of the last 18 months, hunger & food insecurity remain a major issue in our local school & extended community. We are partnering this year with A Simple Gesture (https://asimplegesturegso.org/), who is on the front lines fighting childhood hunger in Greensboro and surrounding communities one grocery bag at a time. Help us make a difference in the lives of those in our community, especially during this upcoming holiday season.
Race giveaways and race goodie bags are guaranteed for all participants who register by 5:00 pm on October 22, 2021. All race participants will receive one raffle ticket in their race packet for door prize drawings. In addition, those who bring food donations will receive an extra raffle ticket. (see below)
Food Donation Drive
Everyone is encouraged to bring non-perishable, non-glass food items either to the pre-race packet pickup locations or with them race morning. Additionally, you can send food donation items directly to A Simple Gesture & access ASG’s Amazon Wishlist at https://smile.amazon.com/hz/charitylist/ls/SE52SYF7YY0S/ref=smi_ext_lnk_lcl_cl. Please print off your order confirmation and bring with you to packet pickup or race morning.
Non-perishable holiday food items that we recommend (but are not limited to): stuffing mixes, instant mashed potatoes, mac ‘n cheese, canned foods (such as green beans, peas, corn, cranberry sauce, yams, pumpkin, fruit), soups (cream), non-perishable gravy, French’s fried onions, marshmallows, jello, & spices.

Rules & Guidelines
In the event the race should be canceled for reasons beyond the control of the Race Director or Race Committee (inclement weather or unsafe weather conditions; local, state or national emergency), refunds will not be made, but race packets, including race shirts, will be available at a location to be determined. Information will be available on the race website.
Refund Policy: No refunds for any reason will be issued for this event within 30 days of the event start date. Earlier than 30 days before the event, a request may be made for a 50% refund (this will be 50% of entry fee, excluding any processing fees). Entries CANNOT be transferred or deferred to another event or year. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made to this policy. By registering for this event you agree to this refund policy. Transfer policy: Entries can be transferred to another individual for a $5 transfer fee. T-shirt size will not be changeable. Entries CANNOT be transferred or deferred to another event or year.
