Hagan-Stone Park Duathlon


The second race in the Triad Duathlon series, held just south of Greensboro. Run legs on the trails that make up famed Hagan-Stone cross country course. Road bike course.

What You Get With Your Registration

  • Race Shirts: Shirts will be long sleeve heather shirts with women’s and men’s specific cuts.
  • Post-race food.


Athletes are chip timed and given 5 splits.
Awards for top three overall.
Awards for top three age group placers. Age groups 14 & under; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70+.

Awards for the top three Clydesdale and Athena.
Awards for the top three relay teams.
Points accumulated toward Triad Duathlon Series awards.

To qualify for the Triad Duathlon Series awards, athletes must compete in at least two races in the series. For the Hagan-Stone Park Duathlon, overall scoring and age group scoring works as follows: 10 points for 1st, 8 points for 2nd, 6 points for 3rd, 5 points for 4th place, 4 points for 5th place, 3 points for 6th place, 2 points for 7th place, and 1 point for 8th place and up.

    Bike Course

    These are some of the best roads to ride in the Piedmont. A good mix of fast and challenging, the course has something for everyone. With low traffic and smooth asphalt, this is a great early season bike course!

    5K Run Course

    This off-road run course is partially on the trails that are part of Hagan-Stone Park’s well-known cross-country courses. The trails are soft, especially after some rain, and are a good mix of flats and hills.

Rules & Guidelines

In the event the race should be canceled for reasons beyond the control of the Race Director or Race Committee (inclement weather or unsafe weather conditions; local, state or national emergency), refunds will not be made, but race packets, including race shirts, will be available at a location to be determined. Information will be available on the race website.

Refund Policy: No refunds for any reason will be issued for this event within 30 days of the event start date. Earlier than 30 days before the event, a request may be made for a 50% refund (this will be 50% of entry fee, excluding any processing fees). Entries CANNOT be transferred or deferred to another event or year. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made to this policy. By registering for this event you agree to this refund policy. Transfer policy: Entries can be transferred to another individual for a $5 transfer fee. T-shirt size will not be changeable. Entries CANNOT be transferred or deferred to another event or year.
