For years, Trivium Racing has envisioned an ultra-distance event that captures the rugged beauty and wild spirit of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula—and now, the Wolverine State 100 is here. This race is more than just a challenge; it’s an unforgettable journey, crossing from the shores of Lake Michigan to the banks of Lake Huron. Picture yourself conquering varied terrain, from serene single-track trails to scenic seasonal roads, as you push your limits through one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the Midwest.
The Wolverine State 100 offers a race for every ultra marathoner:
- 100 Mile Ultra: A point-to-point adventure beginning in Petoskey and ending in Alpena.
- 100 K Ultra: Another point-to-point challenge finishing in Alpena.
- 50K Ultra (Sunday): A manageable out-and-back course based in Alpena, with generous cutoffs and welcoming terrain.
- 100 Mile Relay: Share the ultimate journey with your team across Michigan’s Lower Peninsula.
Athletes will tackle a mix of single-track trails, gravel roads, limestone paths, and seasonal roads, all designed to provide a balance of challenge and approachability. Aid stations every 5 to 8 miles will be fully stocked to keep you fueled and supported every step of the way.
