End Of the Road Marathon, Half Marathon and 4 Mile

We at Trivium Racing are working hard to make sure we have a great event for you in October.  While planning continues, athletes should be aware that the potential for cancellation or postponement still exists due to Covid-19. There are also certain modifications that may be made to mitigate the health risks posed by large group events if the event goes forward.  Trust that we will do everything we can to have a safe and fun event as promised.  Please familiarize yourself with our refund policy (found both on the registration page and under our rules page) prior to signing up.  As many of you saw in 2020, we will go the extra mile to make sure an event happens.  Please sign up with caution!  We hope to see everyone on October 23, 2021!

Now in its fifth year, hundreds of athletes have come from all over the US to try out this unique event! You may remember from the 2009 apocalyptic movie “The Road.”  This stretch of the Pennsylvania Turnpike was bypassed in 1968, leaving 2 tunnels and miles of road untouched by traffic for nearly 50 years! You will get an opportunity to spend 5 miles of your race underground in the old tunnels, so a headlamp or flashlight is required!   Trivium has partnered with the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreation Authority in order to raise funds to develop this abandoned road into a greenway so that runners and bikers can enjoy the route for years to come.  Come race the original old turnpike half marathon!

For 2021 we are adding a 4 Mile race to the Saturday event AND we will be adding a second half marathon on Sunday to accommodate more athletes without crowding the out-and-back course (each day of racing will be limited to 500 runners)!  We will also have a waiting list for bringing back the FULL MARATHON on Sunday!  If we get 200 people interested in the full by June 1st, we will have a Sunday Half and Full!

A headlamp or flashlight is required for this event as there are no lights in the tunnels you will run through!

We also invite you to check out our Facebook page for all the latest event news: www.facebook.com/eotrhalf.
