About
(10/10/2020) Both the 2020 End of the Road Morning and Afternoon races have just filled up. With less than two weeks until race day, there is not enough time to get permits, staff, volunteers, goodies etc. for a Sunday morning event. The current waitlist for both the morning and afternoon race are very short, so there is still a very good chance an athlete signing up for the waitlist will get in! Just make sure you register as soon as you get the “You’ve been selected from the waitlist” email so you don’t miss your spot. If you are currently registered for the race and would like to switch to virtual, you can do so by following these instructions.
We at Trivium Racing are still working hard to make sure we have a great event for you in October. While planning continues, athletes should be aware that the potential for cancellation or postponement still exists due to Covid-19. There are also certain modifications that may be made to mitigate the health risks posed by large group events if the event goes forward. We may be in unfamiliar territory, but trust that we will do everything we can to have a safe and fun event as promised. Please familiarize yourself with our refund policy (found both on the registration page and under our rules page) prior to signing up. We hope to see everyone on October 24, 2020!
Update as of 7/25/20: In order to keep this event safe and legal during this time of pandemic, we will be adding an afternoon half marathon to this year’s race. Both events will be capped at 250 participants. Additional social distancing and safety measures will also be in place. If you registered for this race early, you are automatically included in the morning race, but if you would like to switch to the afternoon event, you can log into your account and select the option to transfer your event.
Now in its fourth year, hundreds of athletes have come from all over the US to try out this unique event! Come on out to this great race and run on the old historic Pennsylvania Turnpike!
You may remember from the 2009 apocalyptic movie “The Road.” This stretch of the Pennsylvania Turnpike was bypassed in 1968, leaving 2 tunnels and miles of road untouched by traffic for nearly 50 years! You will get an opportunity to spend 5 miles of your race underground in the old tunnels, so a headlamp or flashlight is required! Trivium has partnered with the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreation Authority and Bedford Fulton Outdoor Education in order to raise funds to develop this abandoned road into a greenway so that runners and bikers can enjoy the route for years to come.
A headlamp or flashlight is required for this event as there are no lights in the tunnels you will run through!
