Dearborn Homecoming is adding an 80s themed 5K run and 1 mile fun run……Whoa! So get amped because this run is going to be the bombdiggity. We’ve got a choice course, our cassette medals are the jam, and we’ll give out some spiffy door prizes for the best 80s themed costumes! When you register you will be prompted to sign up as part of a decade team. Pick the decade you associate either with Dearborn, or your high school graduation. All runners will be be age and gender graded and the fastest decade will take home the prize (see the details page for more information)!

Parking

Parking for this righteous event can be found in the Ford Field Dearborn parking lot at the corner of Monroe and Brady St. This is the all-day parking for Homecoming festivities and becomes paid parking after the run. If you are staying all day for homecoming you may be asked to pay for parking. Keep this in mind while planning.

Awards
Individual Awards
Awards will be presented to the top 3 overall Male and Female finishers. Awards will also be given to the top 3 males and females in the following age groups: 19 and under, 20 – 24, 25 – 29, 30 – 34, 35 – 39, 40 – 44, 45 – 49, 50 – 54, 55 – 59, 60 – 64, 65 – 69, and 70+.
Team Awards
In Addition to being placed individually, each runner will also be assigned to a Decade Team. Choose the decade you associate with your time in Dearborn, or if you are not from Dearborn, choose the decade you graduated high school! Each member of the team will have their time age and gender graded (your time compared to everyone else’s time without an age or gender bias). We will then score the event as follows:
We will use cross country scoring through 20 places on each team: (1st place = 1 point, 2nd place = 2 points 3rd place = 3 points etc.) In addition, each team will be able to reduce their score by 1 point for every team member they have! The more team members the better your score! The team with the lowest score wins.
The winning team will be given a special prize!
Charity
The Dearborn Community Fund is a non-profit organization that contributes to the vibrancy of the city of Dearborn, Michigan, by supporting arts, recreational and cultural projects and activities across the city and at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center (The Center).
The Fund provides financial and volunteer resources to support initiatives that enhance the quality of life for those who live, play and work in Dearborn while maintaining Dearborn as a creative and dynamic city.

Rules & Guidelines
In the event the race should be canceled for reasons beyond the control of the Race Director or Race Committee (inclement weather or unsafe weather conditions; local, state or national emergency), refunds will not be made, but race packets, including race shirts, will be available at a location to be determined. Information will be available on the race website.
Refund Policy: No refunds for any reason will be issued for this event within 30 days of the event start date. Earlier than 30 days before the event, a request may be made for a 50% refund (this will be 50% of entry fee, excluding any processing fees). Entries CANNOT be transferred or deferred to another event or year. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made to this policy. By registering for this event you agree to this refund policy. Transfer policy: Entries can be transferred to another individual for a $5 transfer fee. T-shirt size will not be changeable. Entries CANNOT be transferred or deferred to another event or year.
