Course

The run course is on a paved park path around the interior of Northeast Park and runners will do 2 loops.

The bike course exits Northeast Park and makes a loop on the country roads surrounding the park. The bike course is on roads with low traffic volume, and they will not be closed to traffic. We will have police and volunteers staffed at each major intersection to ensure the safety of participants.

Entry Fees

Individual*: $35 through February 9. $45 from February 10 through February 27 (the close of online registration). $55 race-day.
2-Person Relay*: $50 through February 9. $60 from February 10 through February 27 (the close of online registration). $70 race-day.
3-Person Relay*: $60 through February 9. $70 from February 10 through February 27 (the close of online registration). $80 race-day.

*Note that a $12 USAT Insurance Fee will be added to anyone without a Current USAT Membership on Race Day. If it is not paid during registration process, it will have to be paid by cash or check at packet pickup.

Packet Pick-Up

Packet pick-up will be at Northeast Park on race day from 8:00am to 9:30am.

Timing / Awards

Athletes are chip timed and given 5 splits.
Awards for top three overall.
Awards for top three age group placers. Age groups 14 & under; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70+.
Awards for the top three relay teams.
Points accumulated toward Triad Duathlon Series awards.

Triad Duathlon Series Scoring

To qualify for the Triad Duathlon Series awards, athletes must compete in at least two races in the series. For the Northeast Park Duathlon, overall scoring and age group scoring works as follows: 10 points for 1st, 8 points for 2nd, 6 points for 3rd, 5 points for 4th place, 4 points for 5th place, 3 points for 6th place, 2 points for 7th place, and 1 point for 8th place and up.

Race T-Shirts (T-Shirts not guaranteed if you register close to or on race day. They will be first-come first-serve and sizes will be limited).
Trek Bike Store bike mechanics available for on-site bike-related emergencies.

Rules / Guidelines

In the event the race should be canceled for reasons beyond the control of the Race Director or Race Committee (inclement weather or unsafe weather conditions; local, state or national emergency), refunds will not be made, but race packets, including race shirts, will be available at a location to be determined. Information will be available on the race website.

Sorry, but for safety reasons, we do not allow headphones on the course. Helmets must be worn for the bike. The Race Director reserves the right to reject any entry or to remove any participant from the race course without explanation.
