This race will start with waves of 50 people starting every 15 minutes. Wave/corral selection is now open through runsignup.com. If you are already registered, please follow these instructions to select your start wave. Corrals will be set up in the starting area and runners are required to stay in their assigned area unless they are warming up or starting their race.

Here are a couple of other COVID rules that will be in place for race day:

  • Contactless packet pick up and aid stations on the course
  • No spectators on race day (the exception will be a parent of a minor child who is racing)
  • Face masks required at all times when not racing.
  • Wash hands frequently and keep a distance of 6ft or more between yourself and others.
  • No headphones will be allowed on the course so that distance while passing can be maintained.

Please Click here to see our procedure for event modifications for this event

We will be working closely with the state to implement all necessary Covid measures to have a safe in-person event.  Modifications may include removal of post race activities, wave starts, and modified courses.  We cannot predict what February will look like in terms of the current pandemic, but we are committed to doing everything we can to host a live event.  Please make sure you are aware of our refund policy (found both on the registration page and under our rules page) prior to signing up.  We hope to see everyone in February!

We are headed into our sixth year of the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Half Marathon!  If you haven’t come out before, you are missing out on gorgeous trails, epic water crossings, hoodies, mega finisher’s medals, bumper stickers, fun prizes, great food and beer!  What better way to enjoy a mid-winter day!  This will again be race #2 in the Trivium Running Series, and the first event in the Triad Mega Medal Series.

2021 Mega Medal Series

In 2015 we introduced the Mega Medal Series, and it has been going strong since then.  In 2021 we have a brand new and even more amazing mega medal for you to create!  This years medal series will have 6 medals.  All races in the series can be found below.  All five of the early season races will connect and hang from the sixth medal, The Greensboro Half Marathon
